Unum have introduced a Wellbeing App, Help@Hand, providing a range of services giving employees and their families access to medical support at the touch of a screen. This is accessible via an App which employees can download – click Help@hand Employer Admin Portal registration (unum.co.uk) for an administrator to complete the registration form to be able to arrange access. Once registration is set up, employees will receive an email with their own personal registration details in order to access the App.

The following key services are available to employees and their families through Help@hand:

• Fully Integrated EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) – Access to a 24/7 helpline for emotional and practical support, financial support, legal support, wellbeing content
• 24/7 Virtual GP – The service aims to provide access to a remote GP within two hours of requesting an appointment. Providing unlimited face-to-face video consultations with a UK-based GP, any time, day or night, 365 days a year
• Second Medical Opinion – Two consultations available per year, face-to-face or via video, and provided by a UK-based specialist following a diagnosis from a treating doctor
• Unlimited Mental Health Consultations – This service is available for mild to moderate mental health issues, and the number of free counselling sessions available to an employee would be subject to the clinical and appropriate need
• Physiotherapy – Up to eight consultations per year including an initial assessment
• 360 Wellbeing Score & 1-2-1 Lifestyle Coaching – four short assessments allow an employee to understand their personal health insights. Once the 360 score is completed, employees can access 1-2-1 Lifestyle Coaching, which offers up to 6 sessions per year with a lifestyle coach to assess health, fitness and lifestyle habits. This can also offer Personal Training Sessions and Nutrition Consultations – up to 6 sessions per year.
• Savings & Discounts – provided through BenefitHub, this gives employees access to a wealth of discounts on everyday high street brands, cinema tickets, travel, dining and more.
